So here is the result, something I created based on what I wrote about in the last post. I used an piece of sheer material I had from some other shooting, to imitate a dress, and a corset that is a bit modern but does the job of creating the look and feel. And I was lucky to find the crown in one of the antique shops nearby! The photos were made with natural light from a large window. These are original images, only some color corrections where done and some blur added for the mood, but I’m gonna share later a post-processed one, with one of my textures added.
I tried to recreate my vision of the young beautiful queen here, cheerful and carefree, but at the same time very lonely, longing for love.

Here are some more photos from this “mini-shooting”.

Recently I have been (re)watching the Tudors series. I loved the outfits and the jewelry made me quite envious, as every girl I love to dress up and to try different roles, sometimes it’s good to feel yourself a queen. A lot of the images created by the costume designers of these series impressed me, especially the character of Catherine Howard, a very

young and cheerful lady, played by Tamzin Merchant. I felt in love with her grace, the way she moved, danced her youth and her loneliness..I also found her outfits amazing and immediately wanted to get a beautiful and subtle crown and suddenly found it in one of the stores, I got it and did some pictures. I am gonna show you some images of that shooting in my next post. For now I would like to share with you those which inspired me.

Welcome to my very first post here! Exciting! If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m Lilya Corneli, and I mainly do photography but I have a lot of passion of visual art in general.

Here I will mainly share pieces of visual art, things that inspire me, whether it is something that caught my eye and I feel like it would be interesting for you, or some of my works – of course I will talk about that, especially some of the methods and techniques I use, how I acquire motivation and what drives me to create my images.
